To be clear, challenge responses are posted to the comm generally, not in comments on the challenge post?

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I missed ff100 in its day. It seems like no one wants to be the first penguin in the water here, but I'll try to do something up.

Are you going to be mirroring on LiveJournal at all?

(I ask because the femslash100 dreamwidth account was, somehow (don't ask me how, I don't get the technicalities of linking the journaling sites at all), so when I was collecting links for femslash-today I'd link to the fics posted over here as well as on the LJ femslash100. But without an LJ mirror for the femslash-today reading journal to follow I don't think I can do that.)

Yes, I think that's what I mean! Great, I'll notify the femslash-today maintainer to add it to the list of comms we follow.

Can each weeks fit be another chapter/part of series of the one before or must every post stand alone?

Hi! I mostly joined the comm to do the Sappho prompt table (but will be filling regular challenge prompts if the inspiration ever strikes). Can I post ficlets for that prompt table to the comm as I would do an ordinary prompt? I would be posting the prompts I
fill to AO3 anyway and understand how to add them to collections etc, but am unsure where to post prompt table fills here. I just wanted to ask before I made my claim. Thank you!

(Also, looking at the definition of femslash given on the comm, I feel it could be changed slightly to incorporate groups of three or more, as long as all characters in the ship self-identify as women? Unless the specific use of the word two was deliberate, in which case, never mind.)

Hi! I just wanted to double check that the prompts could be used for individual chapters (of 100-1000) words, and then like a finished three chapter fic would work for filling those three prompts?

oh that's okay, I'm still a few days away from editing- but I'll keep that in mind for the next remainder challenge ^.^

I've never belonged to a comm before, and it's been over ten years since I've used any website like LiveJournal or Dreamwidth extensively. Does anyone have advice on starting out... or perhaps a link to some comm etiquette advice? I'm afraid I'm completely out of my depth.

Thank you so much for the reply! I read the group profile before joining, but a lot of the technicalities of journal/forum posting is a little bit beyond me. ^^;

I really appreciate the advice on using cuts in particular, especially because I've pretty much never had experience with them before. It took me half an hour to figure out how to make one that worked, the other day, and I'm still not completely sure what I did to ultimately fix it.

This answer helped me a lot; I probably overcomplicated comm posts by mistake when I first attempted to use Dreamwidth. Thank you again for the help and advice!

It's all good; I definitely think being new to the whole journal format is the majority of my issue. I was initially on Rich Text, I'm pretty sure, and eventually swapped to HTML, which was less confusing. I... think I may have moved the "cut" HTML to the wrong place or deleted part of it by mistake the first couple of times I did it, but the FAQ link you provided was very helpful in helping me figure out how cuts actually work!

Thank you again for the help; I will be sure to ask if I have any more questions! :)

I don't know exactly how to explain my question, so, sorry if I'm not clear, but can I use a canon genderfluid character who is presenting as female during the story?

Specifically, I was thinking about Lady Loki in Marvel's Avengers Academy. In the game, Loki is recognized as genderfluid and has a story line about presenting as female again after a while presenting as male, and is recognized by the other characters as female during that story line.

I know it's not the same as identifying as a woman, but I felt it was enough of a gray-area to warrant the question instead of just dismissing the idea.

Oh, and I'm writing for the remainder challenge so no worries if you can't answer before the end of this one.

Well, and since I'm already here, I might as well ask this too, is there like a maximum amount of fills we can do per post? I know if we make several at once we should post them all in a single post, but I was thinking if it was too many, the post would be very large, so maybe it would be better to divide the fills in a few posts (I have 54 for the next remainder so far, and will probably have more by then, so I was afraid of making a post too large).

Re:"we're defining 'femslash' as a relationship between two or more characters/people who self-identify as women"

By relationship, do you mean romantic/sexual relationship only or are platonic relationships welcome? Just checking c:
