There was a naked woman in her bed.

Vivian closed her eyes and ducked behind the wall. She couldn't see what she was seeing. It was as if everything she'd dreamed about since that kiss, all the fantasies she had tried to suppress, had come to life.

Surely this wasn't real. She opened her eyes and peeked around the corner once again.

There was a naked woman in her bed.

Heat flooded her cheeks, flooded other parts of her too, if she was honest. It didn't matter. No one was going to see those parts. This woman was not- she just had to put on her clothing and leave.

Like it had been since the moment they met, Cay saw right through her. She got right to the heart of it, gave Vivian the permission she needed to want, to touch, to feel.

Still Vivian stood in her tracks, unable to move. It had been so long since she was intimate with anyone, and never with a woman. She didn't know how to begin.

Cay gave her the simplest of instructions. Something that she did every night before retiring. Until now, it hadn't seemed like anything monumental.

She hung the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door and walked back into the bedroom, feeling both accomplished and a bit more courageous than she had a moment ago.
