Silver watched as Cay went to work on one of her pots. “You think she's going to send for you?”

“Either that or she'll come back here. If that's what she decides. We're giving it time,” said Cay. “See how we feel after being away from each other for a while.”

“Vivian's a nice woman, but I can't see her engaging in anything that she sees as too messy.”

“Are you saying that's what I am?” Cay said, her fingers working the clay a little too roughly. She sighed and started over with it again.

“That's what the situation is. You're like a whirlwind that comes through. Some people can handle it and some can't.”

“That's what I'm counting on. I don't think Vivian will run from this. I think when she encounters something that's not quite right...” Cay began to reshape the pot, correcting her mistake, “... she feels the need to go in and fix it. It's what brought her to Reno in the first place, and it will bring her to Reno again.”

“And if you're wrong...”

“Well, then you'll have to help me fix my own mess.”
