Challenge 340 - Remainder/338 - Rain - A Walk in the Rain - Game of Thrones
Title: A Walk in the Rain
Fandom: Game of Thrones
Pairing: Yara Greyjoy/Sansa Stark
Rating: Teen
Word Count: 191
Prompt: 340-remainder, 338-rain
Summary: Yara and Sansa take a walk in the rain
“Why do you do that?” Yara asked, a bit of laughter in her voice.
“Do what?” replied Sansa.
“Scrunch up your shoulders like that. It's just a bit of rain.”
“I'm not used to being outdoors at these times.”
“Never went jumping in mud puddles as a child?”
“Never. It wasn't ladylike.”
“Absolutely not, but it was fun. It's rubbish, not being able to run about in the muck just because you weren't born a boy.”
“I had fun.”
“Sitting and doing needlepoint and flower arranging, no doubt.”
“There is nothing wrong with that.”
“Of course not. You were bred to be a Queen. You're a Queen. Congratulations.”
“So were you.”
“I was bred to lead the Ironborn. Which means I can captain a ship in a squall worse than this little drizzle and keep my head held high during it.”
Sansa found herself straightening her shoulders as they walked on.
Yara looped an arm through Sansa's. “That's it. You shouldn't be nervous about getting wet, Sansa. In fact, there are times when it can be quite pleasurable.”
