“There will be some risk involved.”
“I do not doubt that, my teacher. Are you certain that the servants require our aid in this venture?”
“Mostly their children do and their parents desire their safety. And the children desire that the wounded cat be caught finally and tended.”
“Of course.”
Smiling slightly, Edelgard watches the other girl nod slightly as Byleth stares at the crude map on the table in front of her, before Edelgard moves to stand next to her. Byleth leans into her side for a few seconds before pulling back and Edelgard gently nudges her shoulder in response, biting the inside of her mouth to keep from smiling.
“I think if we put Petra here and put Dorothea with her, we can achieve victory over the target.” She says thoughtfully, pointing at a spot on the map. “We could ask that Ingrid provides support from the air. It will be of some risk, but I think that we can pull this off. Do you think we should consider anyone else?”
“We may need to have backup ready before the end of this. Tell me who you’re thinking of.” Byleth nods calmly as she moves to gently grasp Edelgard’s wrist - their version of a light, secret kiss under all of the watchful eyes.
