"Here they are," Inukai said as she pulled the bottle from a low cupboard and offered it to Akane.
"That many..." Akane's eyes went wide as she accepted it. She'd missed cherry-blossom season, but Inukai had remembered a very specific request-- petals dried in moonlight. And not knowing exactly what Akane had in mind, Inukai had gone all-out. The bottle, which Akane could barely wrap both hands around, was filled.
"Do I want to know what you need them for?"
"Not yet." Akane beamed, then leaned to kiss Inukai.
It was answer enough. And Inukai would watch what she ate.
