Summary: "Because she came here with me." Peeta says, and your heart drops into your shoes.
"Because she came here with me." Peeta says, and your heart drops into your shoes.
(You didn't even know that was a thing you could feel, but apparently you were wrong.)
You want to smash the television, to cry, to scream, to do anything other than watch this damn thing. You can hear your Mother groaning from the pain of her headaches, and you want nothing more than to run, run far, far away and never return.
You wish Katniss could've taken you to the woods. But Hale or Gale or Steve or whatever the hell his name was, always told her it was too risky, what with you being the Mayor's daughter and all. You thought the excuse was bullshit, that he just wanted to keep Katniss to himself. Then again, you can't really blame him for wanting that, can you?
You still gave him that "I'm-About-To-Snap-Piss-Me-Off-And-I-Will-End-You" look. You don't even think he noticed.
You feel the tears slip down your face before you can stop them, and your Father thinks it's tears of happiness for your friend.
Because that's all Katniss is to you, a friend.

You watch Peeta and Katniss kissing, and you want to throw up.

Katniss lives, by some small miracle, she lives.
Peeta does, too.
They smile for the cameras, their hands clasped together.
You see it all from the sidelines, and you do not remember how to speak.

The second time you kiss her, you’re in the woods.
Katniss is trying to teach you how to shoot, and she wraps her arms around your waist.
You kiss her, and she kisses you back.
You don’t break apart, or ask about Peeta, or tell her how you feel.
You only hope and pray to whatever god or goddess is out there, that you can live in this moment forever.

I'm sorry about the mistake, I only just joined the site a day or so ago, so I don't really know what I'm doing.
I don't really get how to use the cut, to be honest, so, if you don't mind, can you explain it to me?

And you've actually done the cut perfectly, you just need to put your fic in there. To edit the post: if you're on this page with the comments you click on the first icon (the little pencil over a sheet of paper) after the left-pointing triangle in that reddish rectangle at the top of the post; or if you're working from the main page of the comm, you click on the same icon but you'll find it in the bottom right hand corner of the post.
Then all you need to do is just copy and paste the text of your fic in to replace the line "Enter your cut contents here" and then click save and it should be fine. :)
