Julia settled on the path beside her. “Making a wish?”
“That seems to be all I have right now.”
Julia laced her fingers through Sophie's. “That's not all you have.”
Sophie's fingers tightened. “Do you think she's-?” She couldn't bring herself to finish the sentence.
“I think that no matter where Kate is right now, she'd try to find a way to get back.”
