Juna can’t move. Not because she physically can’t, but Musse’s head is in her lap and Juna doesn’t have the heart to wake her, not with how peaceful Musse looks, wearing an expression Juna hasn’t seen in weeks.
Musse has been working so hard lately taking care of noble concerns in Lamarre Province that Juna has rarely seen her except for the few hours each when they lay together in the same bed and sleep. So when Musse declared that today she would do absolutely no work and would only spend the entire day relaxing, Juna gathered the kitchen staff and prepared a picnic basket full of goodies, the one which is still nearby but just out of reach. The cookies Juna had baked, the sandwiches that the kitchen had prepared… Well, they’ll probably be okay if a little bit toasty from the hot sun. Musse had only taken a few bites of food before she had crawled over here under the tree, saying she was feeling a bit hot and then…
Well it hadn’t been much of a picnic, but they can have food together later. Right now Musse needs sleep and Juna is perfectly content to be Musse’s pillow. Her back is a bit itchy but otherwise it isn’t so bad, sitting together under the shade of the large tree away from the hot summer sun.
