Summary: What all can a Persona ... do?

"It takes concentration," Yukiko said as she summoned Konohana Sakuya, "but it can be done if you ... focus." She already had sweat beading at her temples from the effort of sustaining her Persona for more than the count of three. "Go ahead, Chie. Summon Tomoe Gozen. I want to see if this works." Her Persona hovered above her, faceless behind her mask, yet conveying a sense of patience and understanding despite that. And, if Yukiko could do it, Chie did not doubt that she could do it, too, give or take a little concentration. That had never one of her strong points, to be honest.
But Tomoe appeared ... and disappeared again, as per usual. "Damn it." Chie made a face, took a deep breath, and tried it again. Tomoe reappeared, and Chie managed to keep her in place, but it required everything she had, and the Persona flickered several times as she floated through the air towards Konohana Sakuya. "C'mon, you can get there. ... Or I can get there, I guess. 'I am thou' and all that stuff." She could feel her hands shaking. The two Personae neared each other. Chie half-expected there to be little arcs of electricity between them, though she had no idea what was supposed to happen.
"And –" Yukiko started to say. "– darn." Tomoe and Konohana Sakuya passed through each other, though Chie could swear she felt a strange chill for a second before both of them disappeared again. Could that have been – ? But Yukiko had other things on her mind. "Maybe they can't kiss? I guess it was a silly thing to test. Especially with Shadows around." Because they had to do it in the TV World, after all, and the Castle seemed like the best place to try, since both Yukiko and Chie had found their Personae there. And yet they had seen Personae and Shadows collide countless times.
But Chie had other things on her mind, too. "Oh, well. If that doesn't work, you could always just do the usual and kiss me instead." That made Yukiko giggle.
