prompt table challenge - now closed to new claims
THE CHALLENGE IS NOW CLOSED TO NEW CLAIMS
Time for the prompt table challenge!
A few of the prompts are full or partial poems, but a lot are fragments because that's most of what Sappho's surviving work is.
I have used the Anne Carson translations from If Not, Winter. If you'd like to substitute your preferred translation or would like to use Sappho poems/fragments other than the ones I've selected as your prompts, then feel free, but please provide a link to the translation or poems/fragments you've chosen.
TABLE
RULES:
on the ficlets themselves:
- To complete the challenge you must write 20 ficlets, one for each of the prompts listed.
- The poems/fragments may be interpreted as literally or as loosely as you'd like.
- You can post your ficlets in any order and at any time prior to the deadline of September 30, 2016.
- Your ficlets must follow general community rules - femslash, between 100 and 1000 words, etc.
- Please tag all your entries in this challenge with the tag prompt table challenge: sappho
- There is an AO3 subcollection for the challenge to which you can add you fics if you wish.
- Comment to this post when you've completed your table and I'll add you to the finished list.
- You are allowed to cross-post your ficlets to other communities and journals (in accordance with their rules, obviously). Just remember to post a link to them to our comm at some point - you can either post as you go or wait and post your whole table when you're done.
on making claims:
- You can claim a character, pairing or fandom, or you can make a general claim and write a variety of subjects.
- Claims are not limited in any way, so more than one person can claim the same thing.
- Original fiction and characters are allowed.
- Crossovers are permitted, whether as a specific claim or as part of any of your ficlets.
- You can make a second (and a third and etc.) claim, but only after you've finished the first one.
- You can continue to make claims right up until the deadline.

I'm afraid there's no banners or anything but you're now filed under completed claims on the list at least.
And you're actually the very first person to finish the table so congratulations on that. :)
