new prompt table challenge - theme suggestion post

SUGGESTIONS ARE NOW CLOSED

So, the Sappho prompt table challenge is officially over (though it's still fine if you want to sneak in a last few fics) and that means it's time for a new challenge!

And a new challenge means a new set of prompts, so this is the theme suggestion post. Feel free to suggest anything you think would make a good overall theme for a table of prompts, and be as creative as you like. If you want some examples, you can check out last year's suggestion post here.

This post will be open for one week, and then we'll have a poll to decide what the next prompt table will be!

Not sure what to make as an exact suggestion, sorry, but I really liked that the Poems by Sappho one was a set of phrases/poem fragments rather than 1-2 words--any chance of another set like that?

I also really like Buffy titles and Xena titles!

Edit: Put this on the old post at first, so sorry if this gives a double notification.

There are several good suggestions here already, but I think Shakespeare tickles my fancy most.

How about something like Song Titles or Songs by ___? Maybe a single female artist or multiple ones? Perhaps even songs titles from lesbian focused songs? (I can offer suggestions, lol.)

Or lesbian movie titles!

Or, for fun, video games titles? (Overwatch, Until Dawn, No Man's Land, Fable, Final Fantasy, etc.)

This one might be a long shot, but Dorothy Parker quotes? She's insanely quotable, and she's got a ton of femslashy one-liners, like the famous "men seldom make passes at girls who wear glasses" or "heterosexuality is not normal, it's just common."

She's not really a sapphic icon, per se, but her quips are hilarious, versatile, and can often swap out pronouns.

I, too, really love Shakespeare quotes and/or play titles, but something else I might be interested in would be a list of AU prompts (e.g. soulmate AU, high school AU). Also, possibly lines from one or more books of the lesbian literature genre? (My personal recommendation is Rubyfruit Jungle.)

Looking forward to the next challenge! :0

All of those sound fantastic! WLW-themed literature has some really great titles, as well, and Wikipedia is even so kind as to compile an entire list of literature featuring F/F. :)

I don't have any real suggestions of my own, but I like the idea of having quotations or songs or poetry rather than just one word prompts/short phrases. I definitely think that whatever is chosen should have a lot of versatility/flexibility, which I think quotations offer as opposed to a list of tropes/AUs, which are more rigid.
