theme suggestion post

Okay, it seems like there's interest in having a prompt table-type challenge, so this is the theme suggestion post for that challenge.

You can browse femslash100's drabble cycle tag if you'd like to get an idea of the kind of themes they've used and how the challenge would work.

And feel free to be as out there as you like with your suggestions. There will be a poll to decide what we use, so get creative!

I'll leave this post open for a week to get as many ideas as possible.

Hey there! I'm the mod over at femslash100 and I'd love to weigh in if that's alright. Some of the past suggestions I've been fond of are flowers, colors, and poems by Sappho. Some other suggestions I think might be interesting are yoga poses, TV-episode titles, 90's songs, and 'feeling' words (angry, happy, etc.).

Hope we can generate some good ideas!

I really like James Bond movie titles, and mythical creatures. So many cool ideas there!

I like Hammer horror movie titles and poems by Sappho. They'd be really fun to play with, I think.

Hey there, and you are more than welcome to weigh in! And yes, I liked flowers a lot, also the Shakespeare play titles one that seems to be always a near miss, going through the old polls.

Those are some great suggestions, thank you! Yoga poses would be really interesting, and 90's songs I would love seriously.

They can! Any specific era/artist/whatever you had in mind? I've found a few lists of top-selling singles by girl groups that I thought might make good prompts.

Girl groups are perfect! Also "Jenny" by Studio Killers, anything by Melissa Ethridge, Jill Sobule's "I Kissed A Girl"...

Those would be great! We could have like a table of lesbian/queer-themed songs, or songs by lesbian/queer-identified artists too.

Original Series Star Trek episode titles. Babylon 5 also had good episode titles. Xena episode titles?

femslash100 did lesbian pulp novels from the '50s, which was fun.

kd lang song titles. Lesbian cult movie titles.

All of those have some very inspiring episode titles, thank you!

And kd lang song titles, yeah, I would like that. I'm kind of not keen to repeat themes that were already done at femslash100, but the lesbian pulp novels were definitely my favorite. :(
