When they had finished making love, Vivian became acutely aware of the droplets of sweat clinging to her body. Her immediate instinct was to rush to the bathroom and grab a towel and dry herself off.
Cay had propped herself up on an elbow and was gazing down at her. “What's wrong?”
“I feel all wet and sticky.”
“I'd be worried if you weren't.”
“Cay...” Vivian began.
“You look glorious. You may be wet and sticky, but your eyes are shining and there's a smile on your face. Sex agrees with you.”
Vivian had the uncharacteristic urge to check herself out in a mirror, but she decided to trust Cay's judgment.
“Thank you for that. For all of it, really. I just wish we hadn't wasted so much time.”
Cay leaned down and planted a kiss on her shoulderblade. “Then let's enjoy the time we have.” She kissed her way down Vivian's body and started to take her apart all over again.
