Nimloth remembers those long and dangerous days when Melian had enchanted Elu in the forest, and the Sindar had starved while they looked for their King. Luthien is far too similar to her mother in some aspects. It scares Nimloth.
It especially terrifies her on days like today, when Nimloth watches Lúthien dance in the forest and thinks to herself that she could happily stay here for a decade without moving when Luthien smiles at her.
Then Lúthien kisses her, and Nimloth thinks that if this is doom, it is at least a sweet doom.
