[218 Calm] Welcome Home (Stand Still Stay Silent)
Title: Welcome Home
Fandom: Stand Still Stay Silent
Characters/Pairings: Sigrun Eide/the woman sitting next to her on page 200 of the First Adventure
Rating: R
Words: 300
Prompt: 218 - Calm (as in the opposite of)
Notes: Also for a prompt on stillsyns@tumblr.
"Oh crap," said Sigrun softly as Malin turned and waved.
A crowd was forming on the Dalsnes pier as friends and relatives greeted the travellers pouring down the gangplank, pale from two weeks of quarantine. Even in the crowd, Malin stood over the heads of the other hunters and merchants.
The two of them had gone through training together. Sigrun could remember everyone she ever hunted with, but two years was a long time. That was how long Malin had been down south helping the Hitra settlement train up their regiment's new cleansing crew and somehow, within those years, she'd filled out. Sigrun could even swear she’d grown another ten centimeters. The young willowy figure had been replaced with a sturdy middle, the short crop of brown hair by two beautiful thick plaits, and... Sigrun couldn't look away.
She was heading her way. Sigrun pressed her teeth together to keep her jaw from dropping again. Her thoughts had always skidded ahead too quickly to be processed, but right now only one thought was smashing her in the head repeatedly: Oh crap.
"Hi! Sigrun! You haven't changed a bit. Remember me? It's Malin."
"Hi Malin, I'm gay," Sigrun blurted and shook Malin's hand.
Malin just laughed. "Me too. Hey, do you know if there's lunch?"
"I'll show you!" Sigrun shouted, and pulled Malin by the hand towards the great hall. Her laughter was like the soft trickle of mead into a cup, and all Sigrun could think about was what she'd sound like with Sigrun's fingers knuckle-deep inside her.
Malin squeezed her fingers and pressed up against her as the crowd thickened around the doorway. "Freya, help me," Sigrun muttered, but then Malin snuck a hand around Sigrun's waist, so if the evidence was anything to go by, She already had.
