Prudence let out an exasperated noise. "Yes. I dated a real boy once. So what?"
"I thought you were gay."
"I am. It's not that straight-forward."
"Hah!"
She held up a finger. "Don't even. I'm gay now. That's all you need to know."
That was already more information Gordon was ever going to need. She was with Violet now, and even if that glorious train ever slammed into the mountainside, from now until forever, she couldn't see herself wanting to date a guy. She still found some of them sexy, but she didn't want them. Not like she wanted women.
Sometimes, being gay could be a choice.
But Gordon really didn't need to know that.
